History

We belong to the Furukawa Electric Co., a group created 130 years ago, wich has grown worldwide thanks to its constant innovation and continuous materials development.

Furukawa Electric Company was founded in 1884 by Mr. Ichibei Furukawa. Currently has nearly 300 companies located worldwide.

Considering electrical, electronics, metallurgic, automotive and telecommunication industries; it has contributed widely to society and to industry, due to innovation and development of new products for industrial and commercial uses.

Furukawa Automotive was established on September 9, 1997, in Mexicali, Baja California, Mexico. Officially began its operations on April 22, 1998. Since the beginning it maintains its processes certified to the highest quality standards of the automotive industry.

As of today we are more than 2,000 associates; our factory plant has an area of 34 thousand square meters and still growing.
